Alex shivered, washing as quickly as he could under the cold water. Yeah, this is what he got for waiting until all of the soldiers were gone, but he couldn’t bring himself to be here when they were. There were a couple of reasons, not the least of which being that it was just too creepy, but also because he wasn’t willing to risk there being an "accident" like had been occasionally happening in the week or so he had been here.
He shivered again, but for a different reason. How was he supposed to do whatever the hell they wanted him to while he still hadn’t had a proper chance to grieve for Ian? He lowered his head, his wet

"I wonder what they’re talking about," Eagle murmured, watching the pair of blonds from where he was still sat on the counter. "Cub looks upset."
Wolf shrugged, absently watching Fox finish cooking the forgotten breakfast food. "Snake will tell us if it’s important."
"You’re really going to just leave it at that?"
"Yes. I don’t want to make Cub trust us any less than he currently does."
Fox glanced at him. "Did you hear how many times he woke?" He shook his head. "I wonder what happened to him to cause so many nightmares."
Wolf grunted. "I was outside most of the night, but I’ll take your word for it. I came

Shade hummed to herself as she walked, the somewhat floppy wrapped gift held to her chest. It hadn't been wrapped particularly well, looking more like a child had just folded the bright red paper around whatever was inside of it several times over before deciding that there was enough there, and she hadn't been able to find regular tape so had ended up needing to use duct tape, which made for an interesting contrast she supposed. She really wasn't happy with how it looked, was actually a little embarrassed by it, but felt that at least it was better than just putting it in a gift bag and hiding it under tissue paper.

The dance was still in full swing but Patrick wasn't paying the least bit of attention to what any of the living were doing, more preoccupied with finding someone to help Mark. The best person would be the male phoenix with his ability to teleport but first he had to find the firebird. Ah, there he was, near the dragon. The ghost slid the thirty feet without actually traversing it and set his hand on Liang's shoulder, pushing some of his energy into the touch.
Liang was, for the most part, relaxed and carefree. He turned about with a slightly languid expression, expecting to see another student or teacher who wanted his attention b
Liang's impeccable taste in decorating had firmly placed him in charge of the halls appearance for the winter dance. Silver and blue drapes flowed from the walls and glittering streamers were hung carefully and precisely in just the right manner. The table was exquisite and the huge tree that Oliver had collected was burning with a thousand little stars, strewn amongst the jewel encrusted boughs. Liang stood back to admire the handiwork gazing upwards. Something was missing. He snapped his fingers. Of course! A chandelier! But there was no time to find one... He deflated slightly, fiddling with a flower tucked behind his left ear. It was
Something was different when Ceara let herself into the apartment. She wasn't sure what it was since nothing looked overtly out of place, but there was still something that was setting her on edge. Quietly closing the door, she peered around a bit more alertly.
New dishes in the sink, her door completely closed, and the throw pillows on the couch having been bunched at one end all pointed to someone having been here while she was gone. And none of these were things that Talia would do (plus her roommate wasn't here and hadn't been since before Ceara had left herself).
Her frown cleared when she saw the backpack mostly hidden by the couch. D

Liang had been walking down the hall, preoccupied with figuring out his outfit for the dance and just how and when to ask Karl to it, when a call of his name stopped him. Glancing around, he smiled when he saw said dragon waving for him to enter the music room.
Karl spoke once Liang had come to a halt next to him, turning on the piano bench to smile at the phoenix. "I was wondering if I could get your opinion on what I did to the room?"
Liang looked around, frowning softly when he didn't see anything different. "What did you do?"
Blue eyes glanced around and their owner let out a soft, surprised sound that didn't fool the general for a sec
Mark sighed softly, glancing around for Mira. Where had she hidden herself away this time? He really wanted to explain what she had just walked in on (and how could he have forgotten to lock the door?! That was just... all kinds of stupid right there).
He was just about to call out her name when a series of soft, somewhat hesitant notes reached his ears. Following the melancholy sound led him out into the courtyard and toward the little hideaway they had claimed. He should have thought of there sooner.
Stopping just out of view, he listened to the flute music, his heart dropping the more he heard. Mark hadn't realized she had been so hurt.
Geez, it was cold out. And it had started to snow outside. Both were so bad that the couple had agreed that it would be better just to go back to his place and enjoy a night in together; some cocoa and curling up together on the couch with a blanket over them as they watched a movie sounded much more enjoyable than catching colds because they stuck with their original plans of ice skating.
It was as they were divesting themselves of their coats and other cold weather gear that Shade spoke up. "Kier? What's this?" she asked, pointing at a small sprig hanging above their heads.
He glanced up. How had that gotten up there? And when for that ma

Aiden smiled softly, watching some children play in the snow. It was a beautiful and inspiring time of year. People became more cheerful and good willed and the city developed a new beauty between the fairy lights strung everywhere and the layer of snow lending an air of innocence. He loved the city and its people at any time of year, but they became so much more, so much better and kinder when the winter holidays rolled around.
A deep breath of frost filled air and the brunet turned to continue on his way. He had promised the kids at the orphanage some cookies to decorate and he still needed to bake them. Now that he had all of the ingredie

You find online what you believe to be a story about how there are things out there. Things that can look like anything, be anywhere, and that prey on humans. There isn't much detail on what they look like or what they can do, but it's almost Halloween and it's just a story. It isn't like there's any harm to reading it.
His gasping breaths echoed in the cool night air. His worn shoes slapped the wet pavement as he ran. Looking over his shoulder proved to be a near fatal mistake as he stumbled over some of the refuse laying in the alley and almost fell.
He staggered out to the street and, as luck would have it, a taxi was idling nearby. Runn

Okie. Just wanted to be sure. It's going to take a lot of thinking for Keith, though, since I'm certain his powers are already taken. I probably will end up bouncing ideas off of you. xD
Lol. That's fine. Also, you don't have to have a power if you don't want. Lisa is in this group and she's a normal human (she's taken though. Lol. Maybe Keith and her can be friends or something, if you want. She is still a doctor).
